Resourceful Opportunities of the Christian Kingdom (R.O.C.K.), is a networking group made up of business owners that are members of Bethel Christian Assembly located at 1065 Progress Street. R.O.C.K.’s mission is to provide a network that will create and strengthen the effort of each individual through sessions that will inspire, develop and promote their business. R.O.C.K offers unified support and care through hands on involvement in the ideas of each individual member.
The visionary for R.O.C.K. is Mrs. Frances Swinney. On July 15, 2001, she held a meeting with the business owners and aspiring business owners, to encourage them to combine their efforts, exchange ideas, and promote one another. Pastor Jerry Swinney, was in full support of his wife’s vision and encouraged the group to move forward. One week later on July 22nd, the first official meeting took place with 26 individuals in attendance. Since the inception, some have gone, yet many have remained.
Today, R.O.C.K. is yet standing and moving forward with monthly meetings, hands on support and financial undergirding. In R.O.C.K., we know that all our successes come from God, and that He also had us in mind when He told Jeremiah, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
R.O.C.K.’s overall purpose is to make an impact on the economic status of the body of Christ, in order to free individuals from financial burdens, through combined experiences that will create a viable resource pool for equal opportunity for success.
We have not come together to compete with one another – but to complete one another. Bill M’Cartney
